Lots of changes have been happening at the KC shop! We have been introducing new brands that incorporate independent designers, artists and illustrators. Three of our new brands include: Alice Takes A Trip, InkHeart and Pengat. We wanted to offer not only vintage in our shop but also new independent designs! We want to offer unique choice locally that no one else in the area offers! We hope you like as much as we do!

A collection of local creatives decided to set up our very own West Cumbrian Vintage & Handmade Fair called Minnie’s Emporium! Sick of travelling so far to sell our wares we wanted to organise something for local people to buy and support the local small businesses and celebrate the super talent West Cumbria has to offer!

Well we are One year old and boy what a year its been! From selling a few clothes online to our very own shop is quite an achievement (if i dont say so myself!)
I want to say a HUGE thanks to everyone who has supported us; all of our models Amy, Laura, Beth, Jenna, Laura B & Stephanie. And my amazing friends for helping me out in the shop and other events Lindsay, Rachel, Jenna and Otis and of course my amazing mother for putting up with my stressing and snapping at her. A huge thanks to all of our customers too without all of your help KC wouldn’t be here!
Kissing Cows was born from a brainstorming session, always wanting to work for myself and having lots of vintage clothes stored away in my mam’s attic to clear out! So I initially modelled the clothes (hahaha) then we found actual pretty models and I think this was the starting point as people could actually see how to style vintage with high street and they make the clothes look good!
There is still loads more to come at KC we are updating the website, we have lots more fairs planned and the shop will be there for as long as the people of Whitehaven want it!

Well tonight we were at the Copeland Pride Awards which is an event held to celebrate local businesses and what they have to offer. We were nominated for ‘The Best Place to Shop’ Category and were narrowed down into the Top Ten businesses which was a wonderful surprise as we having only been trading for a month!
We received this lovely certificate that will be proudly displayed in our window (in a vintage looking frame of course!). All in all a proud moment for KC. Big thanks to all our customers and we will continue for as long as you want us to!

So much has been happening at KC HQ! We are opening our very first shop on Friday 11th May 2012 in the town of Whitehaven in the Western Lake District, so we have been so busy, refurbishing the shop, making new skirts, shirts and re-working vintage all for the launch! So we thought that we would post some sneaky peeky photos of what has been going on!

Here at Kissing Cows we are brimming with new goodies ready for you to mooch through! We also have some exciting news! We are opneing a Pop-Up Shop in May in our home town of Whitehaven, Cumbria! We are very excited about this as now all our lovely customers can look at all our items and try them on in our own shop! More deets to follow but in the meantime ‘Spread the Word!’
